Clarification Text for the Protection of Personal Data

As TEKNOTEL TELEKOMÜNİKASYON SAN. VE TİC. A.Ş. (“Teknotel Telekom”), we take utmost care to ensure the security of your personal data. We place great importance on processing and safeguarding any personal data belonging to all individuals associated with Teknotel Telekom, including those who benefit from our products and services, in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). Fully aware of our responsibility, we process your personal data within the scope and conditions detailed below as a "Data Controller" in accordance with the KVKK.

What is Personal Data?

Personal data is defined in KVKK as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Accordingly, your name, surname, email address, and phone number shared with us are considered personal data.

Why do we collect your personal data?

Teknotel Telekom collects and processes your personal data to fulfill our legal obligations arising from your product and service relationship with Teknotel Telekom and to inform you of marketing and technical support activities.

Collection and Legal Basis of Personal Data

Teknotel Telekom can obtain the personal data of the customer and/or the customer’s authorized personnel from all written, verbal, and electronic media, third parties, and legal authorities.

For what purposes and to whom do we transfer your personal data?

Your personal data may be shared with Teknotel Telekom shareholders, our direct/indirect domestic/foreign affiliates, institutions and organizations we collaborate with to represent us and/or carry out our activities during the continuation of the business relationship. Additionally, due to our legal obligations, your personal data may be shared with courts and other public institutions, limited to such obligations.

How do we store your personal data?

The personal data you share with our company is stored securely on Teknotel Telekom's secure servers, in compliance with relevant legal regulations, KVKK provisions, and Teknotel Telekom standards.

How long do we retain your personal data?

In accordance with KVKK, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized when the purposes for which it was processed cease to exist and/or the statute of limitations for which we are obliged to process your data expires, as per KVKK Article 7/f.1.

What are your rights under the Personal Data Protection Law?

Under the relevant legislation regarding your processed personal data, you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • Request information if your personal data has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it is used appropriately,
  • Know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred within the country or abroad,
  • Request correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
  • Request the deletion or destruction of your personal data,
  • Request notification to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred regarding the correction, deletion, or destruction of your personal data,
  • Object to any result that is to your detriment through the exclusive analysis of processed data by automated systems,
  • Request compensation for damages if you incur losses due to unlawful processing of your personal data.

How can you exercise your rights regarding your personal data?

If the party to this Agreement is a natural person, the Customer, or if the party is a legal entity, the authorized representatives of the Customer can exercise their rights regarding their personal data in accordance with the provisions of KVKK by applying to Teknotel Telekomünikasyon Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. as of October 7, 2016, by:

  • Learning whether their personal data is processed,
  • Requesting information if their personal data has been processed,
  • Learning the purpose of processing their personal data and whether it is used appropriately,
  • Knowing the third parties to whom their personal data is transferred within the country or abroad,
  • Requesting correction of their personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
  • Requesting the deletion or destruction of their personal data,
  • Requesting notification to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred regarding the correction, deletion, or destruction of their personal data,
  • Objecting to any result that is to their detriment through the exclusive analysis of processed data by automated systems,
  • Requesting compensation for damages if they incur losses due to unlawful processing of their personal data.

Requests within this scope will be finalized by Teknotel Telekomünikasyon Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. within thirty days at the latest, free of charge. However, if a fee is determined by the Personal Data Protection Board, the fee set by our Company will be charged.

How to Contact Us for Your Requests

Under Law No. 6698, you have the right to request that we provide you with all information stored about you. You can send your request via the contact form at the address below, deliver your petition in person, send it through a notary, or contact Teknotel Telekom’s communication line at 444 12 99 to have your personal information deleted, corrected, or reviewed.
